Are you brave enough to do it? Then do it this second.
Would you commit to writing a letter to the President and Congress in order to support health care with a public option and not the so called alternative? I wrote this letter a few months ago but there is an update the Senate is attempting to replace the public option with a so called alternative to the public option.
Why should you support a health care bill with a real public option? One word life. Yes, that simple life because life matters and this bill will extend an improve life in America. Please also sing my petition below.

My online petition to help get health care reform with a public option passed into law.

In this tradition, I will say that I urge all of you to speak out on the health care matter both with your Congress and your President.

Mr. President, Obama,
Please stand up and insist on a health care plan that includes a public option and if a health care bill passes Congress without the public option.
Please do not sign it into law. I, along with most Americans, would rather not have any health care bill passed if it is not a true health care bill.
One without a public option is no option at all and America and her people can't afford a weak or watered down health care bill or law.
I have a medical condition that requires several medicines and there has been at least Five times when Gateway Health Plan has refused to pay for needed medicines. As such, I was forced to use nothing at all or a lesser brand that did not solve the problem nor treat it. I have since moved to UPMC For You and they are not any better. However, Mr. President, I have been lucky to have some coverage.
My friend, Donna Weis, has recently needed to have surgery to save her vision and she also has Gateway health Plan and was informed that she faces a co-payment of more than Five hundred dollars because Gateway Health Plan does not cover the total cost of the operation. Mr. President, this surgery is to save her vision and yet the insurance won't cover the total cost. Miss Weis and I are more than 250% below the federal poverty line and can't afford to make such payments. On her behalf, myself, and all the American people I ask you to stand firm and only sign a bill that includes a public option. You are a great President and I will support your public option stance 100%.
I implore you to oppose Democrats and Republicans who oppose a public option.
Note: I am a public access TV show host of a show titled "Humanity Matters" on PCTV21 which airs in Pittsburgh, PA and on many web sites. I have always been a supporter of you and came out publicly in early 2008 in support of your campaign. Thank you,
President Barack Obama
